Jonathan Switzer is a creative professional with extensive project experience from concept to development. He graduated school with a bacholors degree in digital filmmaking and video production from The Art Institute of California – Orange County. In 2002, he started working in the theater as a stagehand and a carpenter. Through hard work, he enhanced his skills and quickly found himself becoming master carpenter for several shows and technical director for others. These positions gave him a sturdy foundation of knowledge in sound, lighting, set design and construction, camera operation, as well as what is expected on set. He brings a lot of this knowledge to a working set when it is time for production. At The Art Institute of California – Orange County, He quickly learned that he is very skilled in post as an editor as well. As an editor, he can create a story much the same way as he created fantastic sets long ago. While at The Art Institute, he has honed his talents to include writing, directing, and editing several short films. He has been a camera operator, gaffer, and editor for several professional productions as well. He has extensive experience in post-production with a proficiency using Photoshop, After Effects, Nuke, Audition, Premiere, and Final Cut Pro. These skills have given him the tools to do what is necessary to get any project done in the film and theatre industry.
GhostShip Films was created as an outlet for the dark and twisted imagination, with the ability to create short stories and projects from concept to completion. We have been blessed with real world experience, knowledge of multiple programs and platforms, and an education in the film industry, all of which will help us achieve my filmmaking dreams. We are open to many different opportunities in the film industry that will assist us in getting our foot in the door to help us reach us long-term goals of working in post-production.
